This Privacy Policy describes how Morphulus ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our audio plugin software and website.

Information We Collect

We collect minimal information necessary to provide our services:

• Purchase & License Information: When you purchase Spectrus Pro, we collect your email address and payment information through our payment processor (Payhip). We also maintain our own record of purchases on secure servers, which includes your email address, order ID, license key, and transaction amount. This allows us to provide license key retrieval and customer support independent of our payment processor.
• License Key Retrieval: If you use our license key retrieval page to recover a lost key, we collect the email address you submit. We log retrieval requests (email and timestamp) to prevent abuse.
• Newsletter: If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address via Mailchimp. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email.
• Bug Reports: If you submit a bug report via bugs.morphulus.com, we collect the information you provide, which may include a description of the issue, your DAW and system details, and an optional log file from the plugin.
• Plugin: Aside from optional update checks (described below), the plugin does not collect, transmit, or share any data. It does store two things locally on your machine: your license key and associated email address for activation purposes, and a rotating diagnostic log file to help diagnose technical issues. Both files remain entirely on your machine and are never transmitted to us automatically.

• Download Analytics: When you download software from our website, we log the referring URL (the page that linked you to the download), the file requested, and a timestamp. This data does not include IP addresses, user agents, or any other personally identifiable information. It is used solely to understand how users discover our software.

Update Checks

The plugin can optionally check our website for new versions. This feature requires your explicit consent. On first use you will be prompted to enable or disable update checks. When enabled, it makes a single HTTPS request to a static version file on our server and compares the result against your installed version. The request contains no personal information, no license key, no email address, and no system identifiers: only the standard request metadata (such as IP address) that any web request includes, which our hosting provider may process for security and performance purposes. We do not log or retain this metadata for analytics.

You can disable update checks at any time from the Spectrus logo menu. If you dismiss an update notification with "Never ask again," that preference persists across plugin updates so you will not be prompted again unless you re-enable checks yourself.

How We Use Your Information

• To process your purchase and provide license keys
• To maintain purchase records and re-send license keys upon request
• To verify license activations and prevent unauthorized use
• To send important product updates and security notices
• To respond to your support requests

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Payment Processors: Payhip processes payments on our behalf and has their own privacy policy.
• Email Marketing: Mailchimp manages our newsletter list and has their own privacy policy.
• Infrastructure Providers: We use Cloudflare for website hosting, DNS, and CDN services, and other third-party infrastructure providers to securely store purchase records on our behalf. Cloudflare may process basic request metadata (such as IP addresses) for security and performance purposes under their own privacy policy.

License Activation & Data Storage

Spectrus uses fully offline license verification. Your license key is delivered once at the time of purchase and saved locally on your computer at Documents\Spectrus\license.key (all platforms). No internet connection is required to activate or use the plugin, and no information is transmitted from your machine during or after activation. The plugin never phones home.

If you lose your license key, you can request it to be re-sent to your purchase email address via our website. Aside from optional automatic update checks (see above), this is the only feature that requires an internet connection, and it is entirely optional and user-initiated.

Cookies & Website Analytics

We do not use advertising cookies, behavioral tracking, or cross-site profiling on this website.

Aggregate analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-friendly service that reports aggregate page views, referrers, and general device/browser categories. It does not set cookies, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not share data with third parties.

Download metrics. When you download software from our website, we log the referring URL, the file requested, and a timestamp. This data does not include IP addresses, user agents, or any other personally identifiable information, and cannot be used to identify individual visitors.

Strictly necessary cookies. Cloudflare, our hosting provider, may set security cookies such as cf_clearance to verify that your browser is not a bot. These cookies are required for the site to function securely and do not track you across other websites.

Cloudflare may also process basic request metadata (such as IP addresses) for security and performance purposes.

Data Retention

Purchase records are retained indefinitely to ensure you can always retrieve your license key. License key retrieval logs are retained for up to 12 months for abuse prevention purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your personal data
• Unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time via the link in any email
• Deactivate your license from the plugin at any time via the Spectrus logo menu
